This is a brand new 2 form entry 420 pupil primary school in South Gifford for South Gloucestershire Council. Cabot Learning Federation developed the concept for the school which opened in September 2013 when part of the project was completed for the reception class pupils. Final completion will be in February 2014.

The landscape design has been developed to create a welcoming school with rich learning environments in a multi-layered landscape. A linear drainage swale has been designed to the front of the school to lower the boundary fence within a planted buffer to lessen the impact of the necessary security fencing. The wildlife pond has been designed to reduce the amount of below-ground drainage as an attenuation basin. Play and learning are at the heart of the landscape which an enthusiastic client has welcomed and encouraged.
