Dauntsey’s School
We have worked with the Dauntsey’s School over a number of years and on a number of individual projects. These have followed the master plan that we developed with the school. New projects that were identified within the master plan continue to be developed, most notably a Sports Pavilion.
The landscape design for the final phase of the Science Department developments included a central courtyard that we designed as a true outdoor classroom to support the curriculum and accommodate lessons. We included a pond that is part of the drainage system and a rich variety of planting to be attractive to pupils, staff, parents and wildlife alike.
The Day House for the senior day girls most importantly included integrating the building and hard landscape around a beautiful 300 year old Sweet Chestnut tree. This necessitated modified ‘suspended’ foundation design and no-dig path constructions.
